For those of you that I knew already, it was awesome to catch up again, and for those of you that I met for the first time today in real life, my life became a little bit richer today for having you guys in it.

Yesterday was Fanfiction Writers Appreciation Day and it's fantastic to have the opportunity to thank all the great writers we have floating around in this deep pool of talent that we call the Supernatural Fandom.

I think it's fair to say that pretty much the only reading I've done in the last couple of years is fanfiction, and that is because it's wonderful and fascinating, and whether it be J2, Destiel, Wincest, Casefic, Crack, or my personal favourite, Hurt Comfort, I can't get enough of it.

As a general rule, I try to comment on everything I read; as a fanfiction writer, I know exactly how some nice supportive feedback can make your day, and it gives me deep joy to return that favour whenever I can.

So here's a list of some of the fabulous, talented writers that I really love to read; you guys have given me endless hours of enjoyment, and I hope you will continue to do so, so here's a big thank you from me.

I have lots of other great writers on my F-list, and I may not have got round to reading all of them yet, but there's plenty of time ... I think it's safe to say that the only reading I'm going to get done over the next couple of years will be Fanfiction as well  :)

It ocurred to me yesterday that this week marks a momentous anniversary for me ...

It's five years since I entered fandom. That is to say, five years since I posted my very first Supernatural fanfiction over on Fanfiction.net, and that was my first step on this amazing journey I've been on with all you amazing and wonderful guys.

That journey has brought me lots of great friends, taken me to conventions, rekindled my love of creative writing, taught me how to make digital art, brought the little plastic people into my life, and generally been one of the best things I have ever done.

And yet, at the beginning of it all was one little story.  Something that came to me quite randomly one evening and just nagged and niggled at me, until it insisted on being posted online for posterity; and in celebration of my five year anniversary - this is that story, exactly as I wrote it five years ago!

I'm just dropping by between spoiling myself and being spoiled, to say thank you.  I am overwhelmed by all your lovely messages, cards and gifts on my special day!
