December Meme - Day 31

Without a doubt my best moment this month was meeting up with my lovely hunter girls (and boys) in London on the 10th of December. I wasn't particularly well on the day as I was still fighting the aftermath of a chest infection, but I wouldn't have missed it for the world!
We finished off the day with our customary ride on the South Bank carousel, and it was a wonderful afternoon!

theymp and his lovely daughter, Lily, heavenli24, andiivalo, edina_clouds128, Chris and Natalie, a Mum and Daughter we have come to know from various conventions, and Sam and Brenda, jj1564's son and sister, met up at a nice restaurant in London for lunch. We did a secret santa, had Spn-themed Christmas crackers and just generally had a wonderful catch up - a very long overdue one!

Today was our annual hunter girl Christmas gathering in London.
Every year we do this, and normally we gather together seven or eight people to enjoy the Christmas festivities. This year, somehow, we managed to gather 16 of us together, made up of the usual miscreants such asjj1564, amberdreams, xlittleangx, edina_clouds128, 999alena, theymp, heavenli24, andiivalo plus a couple of overseas lovelies (herminekurotowa I'm looking at you), and a few newbies.
And big thanks go toxlittleangx for organising the whole shindig to run like clockwork!
As always, a good time was had by all - Spn-themed Christmas Crackers, Spn-themed Secret Santa (my Jensen Ackles calendar will take my drool dehydration to a whole new level), great food and awesome conversation.

A Great Afternoon

It was great to see everyone and share lots of laughs - especially at the exploding crackers!!!

The Hunter Girls Hit London
Dec. 10th, 2016 09:34 pmWell, we knew today was most likely going to be a riot, and we didn't let ourselves down. The Mulberry Tree pub really didn't know what hit it when seven extremely odd individuals, wearing an inordinate amount of plaid descended upon them and starting having strange conversations that involved words and phrases such as 'demon', 'exorcism', 'impala', 'wincest' and 'banging Dean Winchester like a barn door in a hurricane'.
I'd decided to cosplay Dean for the purposes of today's meet up, and by the time I reached Waterloo, wilting under Dean's forty seven layers (or at least that's what it felt like), I was ready to rethink that decision. I am so going to canvass the CW and ask them to make their costumes more 'cosplay-friendly' to menopausal women.
So, in the end, we had a Dean, a Sam, a Crowley-ette, a Bobby and an any-character-you-like-who-wears-a-plaid-shirt.
It was a day spent with my lovely girls (and one equally lovely honorary girl) of exchanging gifts and love, eating, drinking and lots and lots of laughter!
So, thank youamberdreams, milly_gal, jj1564, xlittleangx, theymp, and andiivalo for making such a memorable day.
