Don’t believe anyone who tells you there are only seven wonders of the world.

The eighth wonder is Sam’s hair. It is a thing of beauty, a work of art, a living being in its own right, a structural masterpiece; and like all great wonders, it has been around centuries (or so it seems).

So let’s take a wander through the years and revisit the timeless marvel that is Sam’s hair…

This spam is a sincere thank you to the wonderful [livejournal.com profile] casey28 who very kindly sent me the Supernatural Forever Magazine which wasn't available to us poor peasants in the UK!

Season 1

Our first sighting of Sam in season 1 is as the cute, floppy-haired genius graduate, looking forward to a big future in law. Of course, Sam looks about fourteen and I feel like the worst kind of dirty old woman in even acknowledging how cute he is!

This is the shortest we see Sam’s hair (although that fringe is epic). Say farewell to the back of his neck, because you’ll never see it again!

It’s that time of year again.  The time of year when our gorgeous boy becomes a year older, and we all bemoan the fact that he ages better than a fine wine, whereas the rest of us age like a bottle of Bobby's potato-peelings and antifreeze home brew.

Now that Supernatural has ended, and J2 have moved on to pastures new *sobs* and Jared is already earning plaudits for ‘Walker’, we are all excited to see Jensen’s stint as Superhero Soldier Boy in ‘The Boys’.

The insanely talented BossLogic gave us a sneak peek of how Jensen might look as Soldier boy, with this magnificent fan art, and ovaries around the world gleefully ignited.  It was like the 4th July.

But the fact is, our boy has always been a superhero to us.

Maybe we’re biased (and that’s a big, very ironic, maybe because – well – we’re as biased as all bloody hell) but there is ample evidence to back up this claim.

So, without further ado, here are all the times that Jensen (or his alter ego, Dean) was a Superhero in our eyes…

So for today, here's a picspam of all Jensen's characters APART from Dean WInchester!!

And there have been a few of them! (Of course, none of them hold a candle to our beloved Dean - but they're all very pretty!)

Michael Duss - Wishbone (I've wished for this several times, but it's never worked).

One particularly endearing characteristic of Jensen that I have noticed while watching several con videos recently is that he tends to touch his heart when he is expressing gratitude and sincerity.  It’s really rather sweet, and really speaks a lot about the sort of person he is.

And because we operate in the shallow end of the gene pool here at Dizzojay’s journal, I got to thinking about what other parts of his body he is prone to touching.  And why am I not involved?

Therefore, in this picspam I shall be exploring the apparent tactility of Jensen.

To support this, I will be using photographic evidence and not, unfortunately, a practical assessment.

*sulks*

Okay, so to move on to exhibit A, here is Jensen touching his heart:

So, the lovely Misha celebrated his 46th birthday yesterday; of course I would have loved to celebrate with him yesterday - he just happens to have a birthday on the one day of the year when I really do try to put Mr D first!!

But anyhoo, Misha is one of those characters that puts a little bit of extra sunshine in the world.  As well as being easy on the eye he's responsible for bringing everyone's favourite fallen angel to life, being a beloved friend to J2, being one of life's 'generous-spirited' people and, possibly best of all, being totally and utterly barkingly bonkers.

MIsha and his shenanigans have also been responsible for spawning a meme ... yes, Misha has his own meme; 'Meanwhile Misha...'

The 'Meanwhile Misha' meme arose from the fact that normal stuff happens in life, but meanwhile, in the background there's Misha usually creating havoc.

So, with all good wishes to Misha after his special day, herewith is a homage to our beloved basketcase...

Happy birthday, Misha!

Jensen.  Wet.

‘Nuff said.  No preamble required…

Do I need to say more?

So to start gently, this is Jensen.  He is modelling the slightly damp post-shower look.  We will move onto more advanced levels of wetness later.

My good buddy [livejournal.com profile] jj1564 is celebrating a birthday today.  Like many of us, she faces celebrating a birthday in lockdown of some degree, and this got me to thinking about how many times our dear boy gets himself locked up (or down) in one form or another.

Therefore, I am delighted to present, as a birthday gift to our lovely [livejournal.com profile] jj1564, a lockdown birthday spam.

As a diversion from my usual Jensen picspams, this spam is presented through the medium of Dean on account of the fact that Jensen doesn't seem to get himself handcuffed, tied up or otherwise restrained in any way very often.

Not that we know of, anyway ... ;)

Now, Dean does seem to get himself in all sorts of pickles.  Here he is getting into a pickle with tentacles.
Yes, I thought I'd start off classy and work up from there, is that ok?

Out of all the colours in the world, blue is the most popular and the most widespread.  It is the color of the sea and the sky; the colour of many important corporate logos and appears of 53% of the world's national flags.

Blue is often associated with the melancholy side of life, but that is only one small facet of this fascinating and beautiful colour.

Now, in addition, it seems that blue is a colour that Jensen likes because he wears it quite a lot. Well, he would; blue is the colour associated with boys and Jensen is, beyond any reasonble doubt, a boy.

So it gives me great delight to explore the multiple delights of Jensen the colour blue, as kindly illustrated for us by Jensen.

Aren't we lucky!

So, blue is widely recognised as a colour that represents importance and prestige.  This is why the universal terminology for royalty is 'blue blood'.

We cant see Jensen's blood here - which, of course, is a good thing - but if you could it would definitely be blue!

It is a question oft asked, but rarely answered; ‘is there anything Jensen can’t do?’ And not just 'do’ but do brilliantly?

Many doubt that this is possible, but in the name of science, enquiring minds need to know.  So today, we are going to explore Jensen's many talents and many qualities, and from this, draw a conclusion that there must be something he can’t do like an absolute bloody boss.

I mean, nobody’s perfect.

Right?

So, first and foremost, let’s acquaint ourselves with the subject of this picspam.

Everyone, meet Jensen Ackles.

Man of Many Talents )

It may or may not be common knowledge, but Jensen came 7th in the 100 most handsome faces of 2019 poll.  Now, whilst I struggle to compute the possibilllity that six men were allegedly more handsome than Jensen, I will remain bitter and twisted open-minded.

Therefore with a view to investigating this matter, and drawing my own informed and utterly impartial – what, stop laughing over there – conclusions, I am presenting the following evidence and observations in the form of a Jensen’s face picspam.

What is the difference between these two pictures?

One is the defeat of Napoleon, the other is de feet of Jensen.

As you can see, one is considerably easier on the eye than the other.  (Although Napoleon's horse is a cutie!)

Jensen's feet tend to spend their lives being rather overlooked.  They don't have the sensual appeal of certain other components of his magnificence because they are mostly hidden by shoes.

But despite that, their importance cannot be overstated; after all, they are the main thing keeping Jensen upright.  And we all love an upright Jensen...
Oh get your minds out of the gutter, people... I've got another spam for that kind of thing.

So, to begin ...

As yesterday was World Animal Day, it seemed appropriate to mark the occasional in a suitably Jensenish way.  Therefore, I am thrilled and delighted to present a picspam of Jensen with animals.

Fur and feather, paws and claws.  In this picspam I aim to represent all areas of the animal kingdom that Jensen has touched.  Suddenly I'm jealous...

Beware of this picspam, because in addition to the usual pretty, we have tons of cute as well.

You have been warned.

Jensen has crossed paths with several animals during the course of our show.  Dean is known to have a particular fondness for bunnies.
Bunnies generally think that Dean is an all-round awesome dude!

Here there be beasties... )

This week marks eleven years since a certain cute angel with questionable fashion sense entered our lives.  In those eleven years, we have seen him go through several iterations from smitey holier-than-thou angel of the lord, through confused and conflicted fallen angel, confused and conflicted human/angel, leviathan, lucifer vessel, dead angel, and finally beloved, loyal and adorably literal angelic friend and brolther to the boys.

So I had a plan to make a picspam of eleven pictures celebrating the life and times of everyone's favourite angel, and then I realised what a stupidly small number eleven is ...

... herewith twenty-something pictures of everyone's favourite angel!

(and one tapeball)

I would have been celebrating Misha's birthday along with everyone else yesterday, if I hadn't had my own celebrations going on, so to make up for lost time, here is a celebratory spam for the one, the only, the totally not-normal ...

There are few of us that would argue that a single-layered Jensen is a wondrous sight.  We have become accustomed to seeing his alter-ego Dean Winchester, on screen, wearing more layers than a seven-ton lasagne, and so a single-layered Jensen is also a rare, but equally tasty, treat.

As we shall see, single layers on our boy show off a multitude of charms, and hint at many others (don't worry, we're fanfiction writers, our imagination can fill in the gaps) and those single layers can also take many forms.

And so, without further ado, let's begin this exploration of this very singular man ...

This was the picture that inspired this picspam
Actually, it inspired all sorts of things, but the picspam is the only one of them I can post online ...

It occurred to me that it's been five years since I compiled my first collection of Jensen midriff appreciation HERE and so I decided it's high time that I brought our studies of the Ackles equatoral region up to date.

Alas, glimpses of this delightful area of outstanding natural beauty are as rare as rainbow-farting uncorns, so when a fleeting coup d'oeil does appear, it is our sworn duty to appreciate it in all it's brief and exquisite glory.

Therefore, it is my pleasure to present this picspam of ...

Jensen Accidental Tummy Peekage, part deux

Well, hello there!

This way for the pretty... )
dizzojay: (Dean)
We all agree that out boy has a body that is panty-droppingly, eye-wateringly perfect in every way, shape and form, and believe me, I've studied those ways, shapes and forms many times.  However, although we all agree that Jensen is definitely a big winner in life's genetic lottery, maintaining the temple that his body has become takes hard work and years of dedication (and if his legs get any more bowed, it might take some pretty heavy-duty scaffolding too.)

So, in this spam, we will explore the many and varied ways that Jensen works to maintain the temple of Ackles to the highest standards, to ensure that we fangirls continue to have a safe and rewarding experience when we worship at it. Or as safe and rewarding as incinerating your ovaries can be.

Sports-wise, Jensen started very young.

Sporty Appreciation )

Now most of you know that I do not approve of anything that hides any part of our lovely Jensen.  Beards, masks, costumes ... well, clothes in general actually.

But, having said that, there are few sights in the world more beautiful than Jensen in a hat.  Of course, hats don't hide too much - well, nothing too important anyway, so they can be excused.  See for yourself ...

Jensen's hat of choice is a baseball cap.  On anyone else, this is unspeakably dull, but - well, it's Jensen...

Hats off! )

So here we are, 31st December, the end of the year.

It's been an eventful year both globally, and for many of us, on an individual level.  I'm so glad to have been able to share my year wiith you all, and to have had the privilege of sharing yours.

Of course, we also had the privilege of sharing the year wth someone else.  Or three other people to be precise.  And so, here, as my final post of 2018, is the story of an amazing year told through the medium of Jensen (with sterling assistance from Jared and Misha).

Before we proceed to the pretty, all that remains is for me to wish all my love and best wishes to you and yours for the new year.  To all you beautiful and creative peeps that bless my F/list, tomorrow is the first page of a 365-page book; I wish you a bestseller in 2019!
xx

So, 2018 has seen Supernatural hit its 14th season, and the filming of our 300th episode.  It's seen our boys on chat shows, magazine covers and at all sorts of events,  It's seen them running marathons, running beer companies and making public information films.  In between all that, they seem to have been more active on social media this year than ever before.

It's no wonder Jensen needs to get ready for bed, and get a bit of rest!

2018 was an epic year... )

It is an indisputable fact of life that all of us are growing older.

And in terms of us mere mortals, as we grow older, things happen - and not good things, either.  Gravity does its evil work, and we start finding wrinkles and creases where before there were no wrinkles and creases.  And then we go out and buy poncey creams and potions called La Bidet du Jouvance and Huile du Grenouille, which do absolutely bugger all...

And then there's Jensen.

You see, Jensen is getting older, just like the rest of us, and horror of horror, he has acquired some little wrinkles - hereinafter known as 'eye-crinkles', but guess what ...?

They're absolutely fecking gorgeous!  Observe...
