dizzojayIt is an indisputable fact of life that all of us are growing older.
And in terms of us mere mortals, as we grow older, things happen - and not good things, either. Gravity does its evil work, and we start finding wrinkles and creases where before there were no wrinkles and creases. And then we go out and buy poncey creams and potions called La Bidet du Jouvance and Huile du Grenouille, which do absolutely bugger all...
And then there's Jensen.
You see, Jensen is getting older, just like the rest of us, and horror of horror, he has acquired some little wrinkles - hereinafter known as 'eye-crinkles', but guess what ...?
They're absolutely fecking gorgeous! Observe...
If any smarmy cosmetic salesman even dared to suggest a cream to harm them in any way, they would be torn apart by irate fangirls.
The eye-crinkles must be treasured and protected at all times.
Of course, Jensen didn't always have the precious eye-crinkles. Observe beautiful baby Jensen with a face so smooth that even his freckles struggled not to slide off.
A very slightly older Jensen, and there is still no sign of the eye crinkles...
Although, to be fair, they could just be embarrassed to come out.
This is quite an early sighting of the eye-crinkles.
Nowadays, however, they are a very well-known and well-loved feature ...
They are most often seen when Jensen is smiling...
And thankfully, Jensen does that rather a lot.
Also, when he laughs ...
Which he also does rather a lot.
See?
Of course, if I had cheekbones and a jawline like this, I'd smile and laugh a lot too ...
The eye crinkles can often be seen when Jensen sings too...
Especially if he's really going for it ...
They can also be seen when Jensen is tired...
Or when he's thinking...
But we're not fussy, we'll take whatever crinkle-action we can get ...
Oh, stop it, you adorable sod!
Sometimes we can only see the eye-crinkles on one side ...
Or on the other...
And sometimes we can't see them at all because the wicked SFX department airbrushes them out.
Whilst we don't condone this, it's still a picture of Jensen, so how bad can it be? Really?
Sometimes the little buggers sneak out, even when the SFX people try to hide them.
Gotta love a little bit of crinkly defiance!
So Yah-boo Nuts to you, Mr SFX crinkle-killer!
Sometimes the eye-crinkles look colourful...
Other times they don't...
Sometimes they look angelic...
Or demonic...
Ultimately, we don't care. They're on Jensen's face, so we love them.
Keep your Balme de Merde away from those gorgeous crinkles.
They should be celebrated in all their beautiful crinkly glory...
Because, if you're not convinced by now ...
