Fun and larks at Jus in Bello
May. 25th, 2016 10:48 pmI think it's no secret that Jus in Bello is a very special con.
We all know the guys really love it there because, well hello? Rome ...
It's pretty much a given that all the guys let their hair down at JiB;l there's a real 'holiday' atmosphere, and this year was no different. Once again, Jus in Bello was a very, very special experience, and I feel so very priileged to have been a part of it.

Let's talk about that hug ...

This happened right at the end of the closing ceremony and it was a completely spontaneous moment. It wasn't showboating, it wasn't for the fans, it wasn't premeditated or choreographed. It wasn't for anyone else but them.
It was a private moment played out in front of 800 people and cameras, and clearly neither of them cared. It was an act of complete shameless love and concern between brothers, and it shows just how far they have both come in learning to feel at ease with us and trust us.
After Jared's issues last year, it was plain to see that Jensen was so overwhelmed with relief, he practically threw himself at Jared. No hesitation, no playing to the audience, just ... WHAM! With the support of all his friends, and not least Gen, who made the journey with him, Jared had come through the weekend; but he hadn't just survived it, he'd positively thrived. And oh boy, wasn't Jensen proud of him.
Look at the body language - they couldn't get closer to each other if they tried, it's like they're trying to occupy the same space - physics can go screw itself!
It was support, gratitude, relief, love and thanks all rolled into one special instant between them, and it reduced the room to a sighing, gasping mess!
And that, right there, illustrates exactly why these two amazing and fabulous guys are so very, very special to us.

I have the consolation of seeing Jason Manns, Rob Benedict, Tim Omundson, Jensen and a couple of others at the Jailbreak concert tonight and then that's it. All over. Job done for another year.
*sigh*
Anyhow, it's been an absolute blast; possibly one of the best ever - and that takes some doing!
Warning: I will be torturing you with my pictures soon, but in the meantime, here's a taster (because uploading pictures on the Hilton WiFi here is PAINFUL!!!)
In my Jared and Misha photo, I said just once I wanted to be the tallest one in the picture:
Poor Jared was practically on his knees, and we still only just managed it!

Within that two weeks, I have planned:
Two conventions
A trip to Rome
Six Photo ops involving Jensen
Six Photo ops involving Jared
Two photo ops involving JDM
Lots of other photos with our fabulous cast
Lots of autographs
Two parties
Lots of fun with my bestest convention buddies
At least one nervous breakdown
probable bankruptcy ...

Musings of a JIB virgin ...
May. 11th, 2013 07:28 pmI'm having deep and meaningful ponderations as I sit here and reflect on a fun and exhausting day, and the question I find myself asking is this: Is Jensen the most beautiful human being I have ever set eyes on?
I think the answer really has to be an emphatic yes ...
I keep telling myself I am not a silly, hormonal, lovelorn teenager. Nope, I'm a silly, hormonal, lovelorn 45 year old woman., I've got a sneaky feeling that might actually be worse :)
