I'm well aware that I'm very lucky to be in a position to be able to go to conventions here in the UK and once each year in Rome. I've had some of the happiest times of my life at these events, and can't begin to describe how much all the friendships I've made mean to me.

For that reason, the day will never dawn when these memories invovling these amazing, special people and this amazing, special fandom don't make me very, very happy!

It's 2016 already? Where the heck did 2015 go?

It was a funny old year. From a personal point of view, everything was ticking along happily; from a work point of view, everything went to shit; but from a fandom point of view, I have never before felt so inolved and so blessed as I feel to be a part of this amazing group of people.

I met so many of you in person, and that was special, so very special to be able to finally enjoy real hugs as opposed to virtual hugs! I also went to three conventions and took part in Reverse Big Bang for the first time (thanks

amberdreams, you are totally my enabler!)

So here it is, because everyone else is doing it and if I ever did have an original thought in my head, it would be very lonely, my fandom review of 2015!

Some of you may all remember that before Asylum 14 and Jus in Bello I was scribbling away feverishly to draw a number of character portraits to get signed at A14 and Jus in Bello.

Somehow, I manage to complete nine, and I was delighted that I managed to get them all signed. here is the outcome:

It is a fact of life that if you don't come back from a convention knackered, hot, wilting, dehydrated, and with feet feeling like tenderised steak, then you haven't been doing it right.

On that basis, I must have had a perfect weekend because I crawled into bed last night feeling like I'd been excavated from the tomb of Nefertiri.

Yes, it was crazy, the queues were epic and the organisation was based around that unique brand of logic that you only find at a Rogue convention but ... hell, what a weekend!

The best part, as ever, was the joy of catching up with all my convention cohorts (plus a couple of newbies), Viv, Angela (taking the photo so not in the picture), Elisa,

I'm off to Asylum 14 tomorrow, and by the end of this morning, I was all packed. hair done, nails done, a bit of eyebrow topiary done. I'd printed off all my tickets and receipts, got my cash and figured there was nothing else I can do until I leave tomorrow morning.

So then I was bouncing around the house like some hyperactive border collie that eats your furniture because of all it's pent up energy.

So I decided to sit down and finish my Chuck picture. He's not coming to Asylum, but at least he's all finished in good time for Jus in Bello next weekend!

Well, this afternoon, I walked out of work for the last time for two weeks. I am now a lady of leisure!!

Within that two weeks, I have planned:

Two conventions
A trip to Rome
Six Photo ops involving Jensen
Six Photo ops involving Jared
Two photo ops involving JDM
Lots of other photos with our fabulous cast
Lots of autographs
Two parties
Lots of fun with my bestest convention buddies
At least one nervous breakdown
probable bankruptcy ...

Well, it's only a week to Asylum 14 now, and counting down. ONE BLOODY WEEK!!!!!!

I know many of my beloved cohorts are gradually spiralling into that delightful oestrogen-induced delirium that only Jared and Jensen can engender, and I kind of want to be joining them, but I have to control myself for three days ...

*bites knuckles*

For the next three days, I'm taking dapplegrey art on the road, so I've temporarily removed my Supernatural hat and donned my dapplegrey art hat. Taking a deep breath ... I am the aloof ice-queen, a paragon of self control as for the next three days I will be focussed and professional and, as a result, will hopefully sell shedloads of pictures.

Not that I'm in the habit of intimidating my friends or anything, but I want to make sure they know exactly what they're going to be letting themselves in for.
