It's that time of year again...
Nov. 1st, 2025 04:28 pmIt's that time of year again, and so Mr Dizzo and I both took the day off work to prepare for Hallowe'en shenanigans.
We're always happy to welcome trick or treaters, and so the day was spent preparing the front of the house. It was a bit of a challenge because the weather wasn't quite playing ball, and my fake spider web which normally clings quite happily to the brick wall of the house, was flapping around in the wind like the skankiest, spider-infested flag ever!
Eventually, the wind kept blowing the candle in my pumpkin out too, so I had to break out the plastic flashing pumpkins! Then the rain started!!!
However, despite mother nature's unco-operative mood, we were really happy with how it turned out.
In the end, we had less trick or treaters than last year. Last year, I think we had about twenty visits, this year I think it was nearer twelve, but I think we can thank the weather for that too.
However, it was, as always, a nice day and a fun evening, with picky snacks, a bottle of wine and, of course, Supernatural's Monster Movie episode in between visits.
