Update from Dizzoland
Jun. 22nd, 2026 09:27 pm Yikes, how has it been almost a month since I posted anything here?
Since I've been back from Purgatory convention, I feel like I've been in prep mode (as Guy Norman Bee once famously said)
I've been prepping for Darklight con in Paris which is in a couple of weeks. I've done one artwork for that, Misha from the Boys as Malchemical:

I've also got my regular dapplegrey art shows coming up in early August and early September. I've had a lean time with non-Supernatural art over the last few months, but my muse paid a long awaited visit this week, and I managed to get an artwork completed for the stall that I'm really pleased with. I don't have a professional scan yet, but that's on the way!
I haven't got a name for him yet - that's a work in progress!

I was delighted to see that Summergen is running again, so I've signed up for that, and now I need to get my thinking cap on. I'm a bit devoid of ideas yet, but I have been concentrating on other things, hopefully my head will be clearer now and my art muse will give my fanfic muse a nudge!
In non-creative subjects, I was dignosed a few weeks ago with a tendonitis in my right wrist. I started having pain whenever I moved my thumb, and eventually I saw a physiotherapist who diagnosed me with De Quervain's Tenosynovitis. Apparently that's a fancy way of saying I've got a hurty bit where my thumb joins my wrist. I've had three sessions of physio now, and I'm cautiously hopeful that it's starting to feel better. I hope so, because setting up the dapplegrey art stall in six weeks time is going to be a delight (not) with this going on!
Mr Dizzo is fine, he's just had some time off work to use up some annual leave, and it' been really nice having him at home, but in a way not, because he's a really bad influence on me. I've eaten and drunk far too much over the last week!
The bunnies are doing well. We're coming up to the 4th July, which will be their fifth gotcha anniversary. And I'm really not sure how we've got to five years - that means it's been approximately 1,800 times that I've rummaged through rabbit poop and cleaned them out! Lucky me :D
I'm heading over to the Isle of Wight this weekend to go and see my parents. It's my Dad's birthday on the 30th June, so although I can't be there actually on his birthday, I can see him a couple of days beforehand. I can also take Mum out for a little break somewhere nice on the Island.
On the subject of birthdays, Mr Dizzo and I raised a glass to lovely
jj1564 on the occasion of her heavenly birthday on the 15th June. I hope that she and Dean are causing heavenly mayhem together, and that Dean shared his pie on her special day!

Thank you for reading my ramblings! Whatever you're doing, I hope you're all having a wonderful month of June!!!
