oday is the heavenly birthday of our beautiful jj1564 and so this is a special celebratory Jensen time to mark that ausipicious occasion.

As we all know that JJ would be SO excited about Jensen's new upcoming project, so here is a little something to commemorate both of these special events.

Darling jj1564, how can it be four years since we lost you?
You are still so loved by so many, and you live on in so many hearts, not just mine.
Rest well my proud 'sarf London' sister. 💔❤

I've just got back from a weekend celebrating the wedding of Sam, jj1564's son, and the beautiful Yuki.

It was such a lovely weekend, happy and emotional at the same time.  June was not forgotten; she was remembered and celebrated all the way through the day. She would have been so proud of the amazing man that Sam has become an the lovely wife he has chosen.

It was also great to catch up with milly_gal as well, it seems to be such a long time since I've seen her.

Here's a few pictures of the day:

It's three years today since jj1564 left us, and I'm sure I'm not alone in missing her every day.

Every now and again a picture of June pops up in my Facebook memories .  Most often they're pictures of us at happy meet ups, either at her home, or at a pub, or at one of the two conventions she managed to get to.  Normally, as well as me, Milly and any number of other happy hunter girl friends, there would generally be a gaggle of small plastic people scampering around creating havoc to add to the craziness.

When I see these pictures, I always meet them with a wry smile, and then a tear or two.  Every single time, they remind me of how positive and brave June was in dealing with her horrible illness and how very blessed we all were to have her in our lives.

I'm tempted to say rest in peace June, however, I kind of hope she's not at peace, but creating heavenly mayhem riding around with our boys, picking the music even though she's not driving and shamelessly stealing Dean's pie at every opportunity.

Rest in naughtiness my darling JJ  xx

I know I'm early, but I'm going to be travelling for quite a lot of tomorrow. I just wanted to take the opportunity to celebrate our lovely June's heavenly birthday tomorrow by shining a light once again on the greatest picture in the entire history of photography ... XD

Happy birthday JJ, I hope Dean buys you a big, expensive drink otherwise I'll be having words!

Today is two years since we lost our beautful jj1564.  She may be gone from this world, but she will live on in our hearts.

I've spent a little time this afternoon revisiting June's fabulous songspams, and I thought I'd share one here, just for old times sake.  And, well, the title just kinda fits for today!

Songspam: We Love You (Yeah Yeah Yeah)

It's been a lovely day at Hever Castle, with June's family, visiting her tree - and what a beauty it's growing up to be.

It's hard to think it's been one year since our beautiful JJ left us.  I still miss her and not a day will go by that I don't think of her.

But I know JJ wouldn't want today to be a day of sadness - there are so many happy, positive ways that we can remember her:

For instance:
Visit jj1564's journal and leave some love for her wonderful songspams and fics
Visit spn_on_parade and leave her little herberts some love
Donate to one of JJ's favourite charities: Greenpeace or Amnesty International
Or share one of your favourite JJ memories with us.

As for me, I'm just going to leave ths here... JJ's ultimate legacy; the world is so much better for having this picture in it!!

Today we laid [livejournal.com profile] jj1564 to rest at her favourite place, Hever Castle.

Sam scattered his Mum's ashes at the roots of a lovely little sapling which will, in time, grow into a stunning pink-blossomed flowering cherry tree.
The location was specifically chosen because it is inamongst lots of other plain green trees, so that when it blossoms it will really 'pop'!

Sam was an absolute trooper and we were all so proud of him.

So JJ will live on forever in the leaves and blossoms of this gorgeous little tree, and I look forward to watching it grow and flourish over the years !

Here are a few more pictures of the day:

Hi all

I just wanted to keep everyone in the loop!

I'm gradually ploughing my way through all the requests and sending them off.  I've got about half of them sent out, and I can get a few more sent off this week.

I'm getting to a point however when I need to wait until next month before I send any more.  So if I haven't already let you know that I've sent yours or I let you know this week, then it'll be early September.

Everyone's request is on a spreadsheet on my laptop and I guarantee that you'll all get your things sent out, you'll just need to bear with me!

In the meantime, when you get your parcel, can you let me know - it'll really put my mind at rest knowing they've got to you safely!

I'm delighted that so many of June's things are going to good homes where they'll be loved and appreciated, but there are still a few things left, so check out the list and let me know if there's anything you fancy...

(And when I mention 'fancy', I don't just mean this...)

As you all know, I'm rehoming all of June's fandom treasures.  If you would like to claim something and have your own little piece of June's fandom legacy, the list is HERE

I've started sending some things out, and only last week, I sent out items to Australia, Canada, Austria, Japan, Belgium and good old UK!

Sam is delighted that his Mum's treasures are going all over the world to continue spreading the joy that they brought June, and mentioned to me that it would be nice to see where they all ended up.

So, here's a little request...

When your item arrives, please can you post a photo of it (and you if you wish!!) giving some idea of where it is - with a sign or a flag, or a national flower - or anythng you can think of.  Utlimately it will be nice just to see them in their new homes.

Either post them here on Lj or on Facebook in the 'Remembering June' memorial group, and I will gather them together over there, and have a permanent gallery of how far June's love has spread all around the globe :)

Don't forget, if you haven't joined the Fb group and would like to, just let me know!

Thank you!

I mentioned yesterday that [livejournal.com profile] milly_gal and I were starting the process of rehoming all of [livejournal.com profile] jj1564's fandom things.

With that in mind, I would like to offer out some of JJ's collection to all of her fandom friends.  We would love for you all to have a little piece of JJ's life to remember her by.

I've posted a list of items below, and if you would like anything specific, just PM me.  I'm doing this on a 'first come first served' basis, so it might be worth mentioning a second choice too.  If you would like something, but don't mind what it is, then let me know, and I'll surprise you!

I don't want any money for anything, all I want is for the things that brought JJ so much joy, to have a chance to carry on being loved and valued the way she would have wanted.

Today [livejournal.com profile] milly_gal and I went to Edenbridge to see [livejournal.com profile] jj1564's sister, Brenda and her son, Sam.  We had a lovely meal and a chat; it was deightful to catch up again, and under happier circumstances than the last time we met at JJ's funeral.

Our other reason for going was to start the process of rehoming all of JJ's fandom treasures.  It was a little emotional looking through all the lovely things that JJ had and which brought her so much joy, and there were a few tears along the way. But also, as is often the case where JJ is involved, there was a lot of laughter too.

Several years ago, when JJ was getting ready to go to her first convention, (Asylum 14), she treated herself of a couple of Spn T shirts.  Now, I don't know how she managed it; even JJ didn't know how she managed it, but unbeknownst to her, she somehow ended up ordering size 5XL!!

When she first showed me the two T shirts after they'd been delivered, it tested my bladder to the limit!

So, today, we decided that a re-enactment of that hilarious moment was in order...

Been a little bit emotional tonight.  This picture popped up on my Facebook memories - two years ago today.

Miss you always my darling JJ x

Today is June's birthday.  It's the first since we lost her, and I'm not going to pretend it's not painful.

But I'm comforted by the thought that she's in Jack's heaven sharing a pie with Dean, or as best you CAN share a pie with Dean.  There might be a bit of  good-natured shoving and argy-bargy involved because Dean needs to learn who's boss - and it ain't him, but we all know that our JJ will get her share of the pie, and make sure Dean gets his too.

Can't speak for everyone else though :)

Happy birthday June xx

So today was the day we said our farewells to [livejournal.com profile] jj1564.  I know many of you have watched it on the livestream, and for some of you that meant getting up or staying up until silly o'clock because of time differences, and I'm very grateful.  I know June would be too.

The recording of the funeral will be available for another seven days for anyone else who wants to see it. Instructions are here

Sam absolutely did his Mum proud, he looked so dapper, and had organised the day so that it went off smooth as silk.  Milly and I, together with another of June's Supernatural friends called Serena who's not overly active on social media, were very grateful to have had the chance to attend, and Sam made sure that his Mum's fandom life was relived throughout the ceremony; he has never once resented it or underestimated its importance to her.  The Celebrant's eulogy was peppered with Supernatural references and quotes!

Milly and I both gave readings which were difficult, but what we wanted to do.  We owed it to June, representing, as we were, her fandom side.  I think they were well received, and a lot of June's family at the ceremony, even ones we didn't know, thanked us.

Things finished up with Carry On my Wayward Son, and that was perfect.  That was the first question Sam had asked me - did I think that would be appropriate?  Needless to say I said 100% yes!

A couple of days before June passed away, Sam had brought her a fabulous Supernatural-themed wall hanging for her new room in the care home.  as it turned out, he never got to give it to her.  So today it was draped over the coffin.

At the end of the service he gave it to me.
I'll treasure it always.

Just a reminder that [livejournal.com profile] jj1564's funeral is tomorrow at 1.30 British Summer Time.
If you would like the link for the livestream, please PM me.

OK, so I'm sorry (not really) if Im boring you wth bunny news... but, the sanctuary owner sent me this last night and I just, kind of melted.

How the hell do I choose two from this little bundle of gorgeousness????

*sorrynotsorry*

As an aside, I've been thinking about bunny names.  Normally, when I get a rabbit I like to see them and get to know them before I think of a name, but I've made an exception for exceptional times.

I have asked the sanctuary owner to reserve us a boy and a girl from this litter (once they're old enough to sex properly), and we have decided that the girl bunny will be called 'Juniper' in remembrance of June!

Just for everyone's information - Sam told me that he and the rest of the family have requested charity donations in lieu of flowers for June.

Her favourite charities were Amnesty International https://www.amnesty.org.uk/
and
I told him I would spread the word!

❤
