In Autumn 2020, I was desperate to have something positive to come out of a truly shitty year. I knew I had to think of something that was totally in my control so that it couldn’t be postponed or generally buggered up because of Covid. So, I decided to undertake a bit of a self-improvement exercise. I began in mid-October 2020 following the Noom programme and finished mid- April 2021, and over the course of the six months I lost 47 pounds (23.5 kilos) in weight.

So, yes, I’m not ashamed to say I’m proud of myself. I’m just working on maintaining that loss, and making sure the little bit I’ve put on over the festive season doesn’t get out of control!

Date: 2022-01-22 01:19 pm (UTC)I was on a low-carb eating plan for about 11 months and lost ~45 lbs, but then I fell off the 'wagon' for a handful of years, borked my blood sugar, and am not on meds and walking. I've lost a bit more weight with the walking, but it would be excellent if I could sync up the exercise and eating. Meals aren't the main problem, in-between snacking is. o_O
Congrats again! And good luck keeping it off.
