Happy Post: Let's GISH again...!
Aug. 8th, 2021 10:07 pmWell that was another GISH.
They come and go, and this time I took part in a different team alongside
tifaching and
blackrabbit42. We've talked about collaborating for years, and finally got around to doing it this time!
We had a good productive week with a lot of fun and hard work by everyone on the team. So, without further ado, here are my efforts (in no particular order):
You’ve heard of Dad Jokes. Tell a Dadaist joke.
(When I put my name down for tis one, Mr D jumped at the chance of being involved!)
(if anyone isn't familiar with the term 'dada' or 'dadaist', it's an early-20th-century international movement in art, literature, music, and film, repudiating and mocking artistic and social conventions and emphasizing the illogical and absurd.
That’s definitely NOT a normal use for a pineapple, but gotta say, we dig it.

Create a portrait of a tiny, endangered animal out of empty nut and seed shells
This was made out of sunflower seed shells, pistachio shells and birdseed!

It’s time for the Literalympics. Let’s see your gold-medal competition in fencing (picket or chain-link), curling, basket ball, ski jumping, FOOT ball… You get the idea.
This is my interpretation of artistic gymnastics (disclaimer: I am the least gymnastic person on Earth!)
Of course, in GISH there is always at least one team event, and this time it was to show yourself in some way that depicts where you are, holding a sign that says 'GISH, you were here in ...'
So here I am showcasing the England national summer sport, Cricket, and in particular my local team, Surrey!

And here's the team post

And finally, this was my contribution to the GISH world record attempt - most notes of kindness posted on Instagram in one hour. Not sure yet if the world record was achieved, but I'm willing to bet it was!
