Happy Post: A social occasion!

I mentioned in an earlier post that I'd had a social occasion on Friday.

In fact, it was a hen night for a colleague.

For most of us it was our first social gathering for well over a year, and it felt so good - so amazingly normal - to be happy around people again, to hug and laugh. It was outdoors under a gazebo, and even the weather played nice for a change! The venue was only ten miles from my home, but so that I could have a drink and let my hair down, I booked into a hotel for the night, and that felt fantastically normal too!

I was also thrilled because after my recent weight-loss adventure, I could get into a lovely blouse/skirt combo that I haven't been able to wear for years!

Lisa, the lady on the right is the one getting married at the end of June.
