100 Days of Happiness - Day 83

So, I'm getting ready for my Spartacus convention in Paris in October, and so this is a picture of Gaius Claudius Glaber.  He's the centurion who initially enslaves Spartacus, and if he looks a little unfriendly, that's because he is - he's a complete bastard!

He's played by Craig Parker, (who I'm sure, unlike his character, is a perfectly nice bloke), and some of you may know that name from when he was Haldir in Lord of the Rings.



I know that a lot of you aren't that familiar with Spartacus, and so here's the real Glaber in all his glory...

I have not as yet watched Spartacus. It is on my watch list, along with dozens of other shows.

I loved Haldir, I wished we would have had more or him in the LOTR movies. But I was grateful we did see him a teeny bit more in the extended movie versions. After those movies came out I searched for other project Craig was in but couldn't find anything recognizable. I will eventually get to Spartacus, but I gotta say, I would not recognize him as he looks SO DIFFERENT here than he did in LOTR. It's amazing what a blonde wig can do to change your looks.
