So, we all know that the British civil service moves at the pace of an arthritic snail, and finally, seven weeks after he was offered a position with them, Mr D finally has a start date.  He starts his new job on Tuesday.

He was waiting a long while to hear back indeed, he could have flown to New Zealand & back twice in that time frame.
