100 Days of Happiness - Day 35

So, we all know that the British civil service moves at the pace of an arthritic snail, and finally, seven weeks after he was offered a position with them, Mr D finally has a start date.  He starts his new job on Tuesday.

At last!!!!

This is about right - he's so excited. He was starting to go a bit stir crazy after nearly four months; I think he's just desperate to get out and meet new people!

WOW! That's a long time to have to wait to start working after being offered a job. I hope the wheels don't grind as slowly when you ask for vacation or anything else like that. At least he got some extra time to complete any and all 'honey do' lists you might have had. :)

We interviewed someone this morning, offered him the job and he started this morning. No lag time here.

Bless him; I don't think Mr D is cut out to be a house husband. He was brilliant at the start, but now he's starting to get a bit of cabin fever - he's desperate to get out and meet new people and to contribute to the household again!

He got a 'welcome to the civil service' letter from some Sir Humphrey with lots of letters after his name, and he said he feels like he sold his soul to Crowley.
I told him Crowley only makes you wait ten years before he comes for you!
