Describe a scent that you love or loathe

I love the smell of a stable tack room.  That scent cocktail of old leather and saddle soap is a very evocative and powerful smell that takes me right back to my childhood.

I also love the scents of pine, citrus fruits and baking bread.

I HATE the smell raw fish.  Nasty, nasty, NASTY!

Describe a visual experience that dazzled you

Seeing the Northern Lights for the first time.  Breathtaking and overwhelming.

Describe an acquired or unusual taste

Marmite.  Twenty years ago, I would have told you I hated it, but now - I love it!

Describe a sound that frightens or comforts you

Cats fighting in the street always startle me.  Mainly because the little buggers generally do it in the middle of the night, and they do make the most awful noises when they go for it.  And foxes.  I totally respect their right to get together and make little foxes, but hell - do they have to sound like they're being murdered while they're doing it??

Describe a sensation that is arousing or creepy

Having my hair and scalp touched or massaged - depending on how it's done, can be stimulating or can make me so relaxed, I practically slip into a coma!!

I go for an indian head massage at my local beautician's every now and again, and it's so lucky that I can walk there because afterwards, I'm so drowsy, there's no way I could drive!

I remember Barry bought kippers to have for breakfast for a change once (only once), and it took us a week to get the smell out of the house!
