Snaffled from [livejournal.com profile] milly_gal and I'm only about a million years late ... real life has been VERY demanding recently!!!

My writing has really fallen by the wayside this year because of other commitments which have sent my muse into deep hibernation and that makes me sad, but this little meme is a nice way to keep it fresh in my mind.  When the moment is right, I hope to start scribbling prolifically again!

Here's my masterlist ...

Pick one or two of the questions below, and I'll answer as best I can.

A: How did you come up with the title to [insert fic]?
B: Any of your stories inspired by personal experience?
C: What character do you identify with most?
D: Is there a song or a playlist to associate with [insert fic]?
E: If you wrote a sequel to [insert fic], what would it be about?
F: Care to share a favorite hurt/comfort fic?
G: Care to share a favorite crack fic?
H: How would you describe your style?
I: Do you have a guilty pleasure in fic (reading or writing)?
J: Write or describe an alternative ending to [insert fic].
K: What's the angstiest idea you've ever come up with?
L: What's the weirdest AU you've ever come up with?
M: Got any premises on the back burner that you'd care to share?
N: Is there a fic you wish someone else would write (or finish) for you?
O: How do you begin a story--with the plot, or the characters?
P: Are you what George R. R. Martin would call an "architect" or a "gardener"? (How much do you plan in advance, versus letting the story unfold as you go?)
Q: Do you have any discarded scenes/storylines/projects?
R: Are there any writers (fanfic or otherwise) you consider an influence?
S: Any fandom tropes you can't resist?
T: Any fandom tropes you can't stand?
U: A pairing you might like to write for, but haven't tried yet.
V: A secondary (or underrated) character you want to see more of in fic?
W: Do you like more general prompts, or more specific ones?
X: A character you enjoy making suffer.
Y: A character you want to protect.
Z: Major character death--do you ever write/read it? Is there a character whose death you can't tolerate?

Thank you for responding!

G: The definition of crack!fic is very broad, but I guess this little drabble more or less fits the bill. It's one I've always been rather fond of:

Z: I've never written a major character death, and I'm not sure that I could. It's not something that I'm keen to do and in terms of reading, not something that I actively seek out. I do have a couple of wonderful death fics where Dean dies in my faves list on Fanfiction.net which I read very rarely, because they do leave me feeling grief stricken. Literally. I keep them because they are so beautifully written and if I'm ever in the mood for a damn good cry, they do the job every time!

On balance, however, I'm much more a fan of happy endings.

Hey there, thank you for playing!

C: I'm not sure about 'identifying with', but the character whose head I find it easiest to get inside is Dean. I have been complimented on my characterisation of Dean a few times, and that's lovely, but it's not difficult because his mindset and dialogue just flows out of my keyboard. Sam is another matter. I'm not sure I'e got a handle on Sam at all!!!

H: I really don't know how I would describe my style! I have a love for characterisation, and I do enjoy writing dialogue and telling the story through the eyes of my characters. I always have a very strong leaning towards humour, and I love to put my characters in improbable and even sometimes bizarre situations, so I guess quirky is a good way to describe my style!

M: Sadly, time constraints and pressures of real life have chased my writing muse away for the time being. I'm managing to force out a drabble or two every week and that's about it, so I don't have anything on the back burner at the moment which is very sad. I really hope that I can revive my writing muse at sometime in the near future because I long to write a multi-chapter story again, but right now, inspiration is not being my friend!

I hear you sister. You're a lot like me. I identify with aspects of both Sam and Dean. I enjoy writing Dean's pov and generally find his narrative easier. I like dialogue, too, and I always write narrative pov the characters. My major opus is pretty serious, but there's still a lot of humour in it, and I've really been enjoying the DeW challenge for the chance to exercise my funny bone :) They've been part of my game plan to get back into writing too but, jeez yes, there's a seemingly endless list of chores on the to-do-list that keep preventing me from getting back to the road trip, and it's driving me nuts! :(

L: I don't think I've ever written an AU in the sense that Sam and Dean aren't hunters. I've written Sam and Dean the hunters in plenty of weird and wonderful situations, but I don't think that qualifies them as AU.

But just for fun, here's a rather bizarre little meta fic I wrote for Christmas a few years ago. I guess it could seem AU if you squint a bit :D

yay! P please Bob!!!

I'm not sure which is an architect and which is a gardener, but either way I very rarely have a hard and fast plan when I write a story. I'll have an idea, it may only be a vague idea, but I'll have an idea of the beginning and the end, and maybe a couple of scenes in between, but the rest tends to fall into place as I'm writing.

On the odd occasion when I have drawn out a detailed plan for a story, the end result has ended up looking nothing like it, so it was an entirely wasted effort!

LOL! I knew you'd like that :D

Gardner is someone who tends their fic, someone who helps it grow with gentle plotting and vision. :)

Ha, see, this is why I don't plot, it's like planning, nothing ever actually goes to that plan ;)

F: I'm a sucker for a good hurt comfort fic, and I have a little collection of one shots that I've written over the years here:
https://www.fanfiction.net/s/7209990/1/It-Takes-Two
My particular favourite from this collection is this one: https://www.fanfiction.net/s/7209990/6/It-Takes-Two
It's called 'Just a ...' and it's my work with most AO3 kudos!

V: A character I'd love to see feature more in fic, although she's hardly a minor character, is the Impala. I absolutely love wiritng the Impala's POV. I have my own very defined idea of her character, and I'd just love to see more peoples' take on her and her relationship with Dean.
My collection of Impala fics (drabbles and one-shots) is here http://archiveofourown.org/works/976875/chapters/1921705
