100 Days of Happiness - Day 41

dizzojayAs I was walking down my garden path this evening, I was struck by how lovely my flowering cherry tree looks now it's in full leaf.
This tree was a first anniversary present to us from my grandparents, and when we first got it, it was a spindly little twig, small enough to travel home in the back of a hatchback car. Now, almost nineteen years later, it's about fifteen feet tall with a trunk thicker than my arm.
This is how it looked this evening - I only wish I'd had the presence of mind to get a picture while it was in blossom!
