Snowflake Challenge - Day 8
Jan. 15th, 2024 06:30 pmIn Autumn this year, Mr D and I went away together to the west country. While we were away, we came across a toy/model superstore which we hadn't seen before and because we are both big kids, we had to go and check it out.
Inside the store, we found a lovely die cast Supernatural Impala about 3 inches high and 10 inches long. It just so happened that I had a spare shelf in my wall unit and, well, she just had to come home.
Then, before Christmas, and I said 'now that we have that lovely Impala model, I'd really like a size-appropriate Dean model to go with her. Not a cutesy, cartoony one like the Funkos, but a realistic one. I know you can find them online if you look in the right places, so there you go. That can be my Christmas present!'
So, on Christmas day, I unwrapped a small package and sure enough there was my Dean, about four inches tall, perfectly in proportion to my Impala, so exactly what I'd asked for!
Except…
He wasn't how I'd imagined him - I think Mr D took it that I wanted another art project to work on...
And so, here’s progress so far:
How it began:
After painting
And just in case you were wondering where his arms are:
(It kind of looks like Dean's standing watching one of his enemies drown in quicksand!!!)
And Dean with his Baby!
I feel like I'm 90% there now. Need to add a few details, then glue his arms on!
Can't have Dean being armless, now, can we?
