Snowflake Challenge - Day 8

Day 8 - Talk about a current fannish project (fic, art, vid, crochet, funko pop village) (that you are creating or enjoying)

In Autumn this year, Mr D and I went away together to the west country. While we were away, we came across a toy/model superstore which we hadn't seen before and because we are both big kids, we had to go and check it out.

Inside the store, we found a lovely die cast Supernatural Impala about 3 inches high and 10 inches long. It just so happened that I had a spare shelf in my wall unit and, well, she just had to come home.

Then, before Christmas, and I said 'now that we have that lovely Impala model, I'd really like a size-appropriate Dean model to go with her. Not a cutesy, cartoony one like the Funkos, but a realistic one. I know you can find them online if you look in the right places, so there you go. That can be my Christmas present!'

So, on Christmas day, I unwrapped a small package and sure enough there was my Dean, about four inches tall, perfectly in proportion to my Impala, so exactly what I'd asked for!

Except…

He wasn't how I'd imagined him - I think Mr D took it that I wanted another art project to work on...

And so, here’s progress so far:

I feel like I'm 90% there now.  Need to add a few details, then glue his arms on!
Can't have Dean being armless, now, can we?

Goodness, it's years since I was in the Westcountry. I think the last time was being in Plymouth for the total eclipse back in 1999. :)

The Impala is very cool and your mini Dean is perfectly proportioned for his baby. You're right, at the moment it looks like someone is drowning while Dean looks on. It makes me think Sam is just off camera shouting at Dean to do something. :)

And yes, we can't have Dean being armless. I'm sure he will thank you when he can hit something again. *g*

Ah! I was in the west country for the eclipse in 1999. We were staying in a farmhouse just outside of Penzance!

Dean definitely looks better now he's 'armed' XD

Oh, that is so cool - he's looking fantastic, and that's a beautiful Impala model and I wants it LOL
