This story was written for a lady from Russia who translated some of my stories into Russian for her fansite and did some gorgeous artworks for them which she generously shared with me. In return I offered to write a story especially for her if she had some ideas for prompts. This is one of the prompts she came up with:

Prompt: "Dude… oh, sorry… Sir! It's an awesome place! But we shouldn't go here".
Aliens decide to captive humankind. A couple of aliens come to earth as a secret scouts. And run onto Sam and Dean at once. They begin to spy upon Winchesters, considering them as "normal". After some time one of the aliens send his report to the boss – about Winchester's life and absolutely in Winchester (mostly Dean) style - Jerk, bitch, awesome, Baby (aka Impala), pranks, salt lines everywhere, burgers, etc. (Aliens POV)

Today's prompt calls for something for a major fandom/pairing/character. As I only write/make art in the Supernatural fandom and I haven't ventured into writing slash yet, I'm going to go with a major character.

Which is, of course, Dean. Duh!

Most of the things I write about Dean involve some degree of comedy, injury, humiliation and light-hearted fun-poking, but just occasionally, something will prod my muse and I find myself visiting Dean's past, and the journey that has brought him to who he is today, and sometimes, that's quite a sad exercise.

The following two drabbles are little slices of empathy for Dean's difficult life; exploring just two of the countless facets that make today's Dean the complicated and deeply flawed hero that we all know and love so much.

So, day 2 of this meme calls for something new. I've been trawling through my fanfic library to see what I've written recently, but on reflection, I've decided to go with artwork today.

You've probably all seen some or all of these pictures popping up on your friends feed at various times over the last four months, but for those who may not have seen them; I had been drawing some portraits of Supernatural characters, partly so I could take them with me to conventions to get signed by the actors, and partly just to see if I could actually still do it - I've tended to stick to drawing animals, and have hardly done any human pictures since leaving school (a depressingly long time ago!)

The pictures are all drawn in pastel on black ingres paper; they are a completely manual process - I don't have any drawing tablets or anything of that type - I wouldn't even know where to start!

I did these at various times and posted them as I went, but for the purposes of this particular post, I decided to put them into a collage because I thought they might look nice all displayed together.

So without further ado - I present Sam and Dean, surrounded by a little entourage of friends and enemies!

Okay, I've been keeping an eye on this meme across my friends feed, and I've enjoyed looking back over fics I've read, and ones I've missed, so I've decided to take a brief hiatus from 100 Days of Happiness to do my own 7 days of Self-promotion!

It'll be fun to look back through some of my old work and dredge up a few relics that I'd forgotten about ... so without further ado:

I've decided to go with a story called 'Disarmed' that I wrote almost four years ago. It's a humour/hurt-comfort gen fic and was one of the first few multi-chapter stories I ever wrote (5,000 words over 3 chapters). I'm fond of this story because it was the first one where I wrote Bobby's interaction with the boys and that became a relationship that I fell in love with; so much so, that Bobby the father figure became a regular feature in many of my stories from that time onwards.
