Is it a crackle-coat? Does that stuff work well right out of the bottle, or do you have to fuss with it a lot? It looks great! I would totally do mine like that.
The little things make SUCH a difference, I tell ya. For about 15 years, I only owned one lipstick, painted my nails maybe twice a year, and owned about 4 or 5 pairs of earrings and didn't buy any new ones in that whole time period. I don't know why I was like that, if it was just self-denial or being poor/a cheapskate or what, but it's different now.
Now a new lip or nail color and an investment of 10-15 bucks on a pair of earrings are joys I don't deprive myself of, and I get a lot of pleasure out of them. I love picking out my lip color and earrings every morning; honestly it motivates me to get up when I think I can go make myself pretty. :-) Little joys make life so much better. Enjoy the happiness! <3
It is crackle-coat and I don't actually apply it - I go to a nail bar, it's no fuss when they do it :)
I totally agree with you about the little things. Life is so busy nowadays, it's nice to just take some time out and pamper yourself occasionally. Making yourself look nice is great for the self-esteem and well worth a modest investment!
Oh wow, I've never had my hands complimented before! Thank you, I should take more care of them - they suffer during the winter and are very dry at the moment.
I wouldn't have long nails if I didn't get acrylic sets put on them - I'm a pathological nail biter and this is the only way I can find to prevent it - they're just too hard to bite now!
My wedding set is precious to me (besides the obvious reason). the engagement ring was my Great Grandmother's engagement ring, I suppose you could call it a family heirloom, and I went to great lengths to pick a wedding ring that matched it.
