Enabling my cappuccino addiction makes me very happy ...



Although I wasn't very impressed when the young girl behind the counter wrote down my order for a croissant as 'quosan'.
I don't blame the kid, she's trying her best and was very helpful.  It did make me want to smack her teachers though, if that's the standard of spelling they're releasing into the world!!!

Quosan. Um. That's what you might call creative spelling!!! How on earth would anyone guess what she meant... You could have ended up with some sort of chinese dish!

Heehee, I know!
Especially since the croissants are kept in a wicker tray on the counter with a label marked 'croissants' stuck to it!!!!

Well, I've got to say, it doesn't show in your stories!

I happen to be good at spelling, I'm crap at maths instead. Once I run out of fingers, that's it, I'm reaching frantically for the calculator.

So, I accept that we've all got our weaknesses, we can't all be good at everything (unless you're Jensen of course - the git, the pretty, sexy, walking specimen of perfection, git) but even so, I felt sorry for the poor kid in that she's clearly had no meaningful guidance or support in something she clearly struggles (quite spectacularly) at!

Jensen really does put all of us to shame the git, but you'd think working right by the sign all day, she would at least have some idea of how to spell the word. Sometimes I despair at the education system these days. And now I feel really bloody old.

I agree. The standard of spelling has really gone down hill. And what with all the shortened twitter and text talk, it's a shame how people aren't learning the proper spelling and usage of words.
