I got a new Kindle for Christmas, and I made sure I copied all the books on my old one across to this new one. I’ve got a lot of Bill Bryson books on my Kindle as he's one of my favourite authors, and this is the newest one that I’ve just started reading.

I had a bit of a girl crush on Toyah back in the 80’s and even now I admire her and love listening to her music!
7. the last movie you watched
I watched ‘the Theory of Everything’ recently. I’ve seen it several times and I love it.
8. TV show you're currently watching
I finally got around to watching this and it was brilliant!

I don’t know how my phone hasn’t melted!

Date: 2022-02-05 08:05 pm (UTC)Toyah was a big star in the eighties. She was quite 'off the wall' and her songs were really imaginative and unusual. She was a great character. She's a tiny woman with a bit of a lisp and she also had a club foot and a curvature of the spine when she was a child. With all that to contend with, she was as tough as old boots, and was an awesome role model for teenaged me. She's still famous in the UK and is pretty much universally loved!
