I'm going to do the same thing! I gave away my faux tree so we can put a beautiful standing lamp that Jeff inherited in that corner. So a little tree on a table will do just fine!

The "black thing" I'm referring to looks like a portable electronic piano. It looks like it has white keys and a music rack. It also looks like it has handles on the side ends. I would not have thought of it as being a desk.

Ah yes, it's a black metal shelf underneath the desk and it has a roll of silver wrapping paper in it.
