I haven't done this for a couple of weeks, so here goes...

  1. If you could design your life exactly how you'd like, how famous would you be?  I don't think I would like to be famous at all. I rather like being anonymous.  I couldn't imagine how tiresome it must be to have to dress up and put a full face of makeup on just to nip across the road for a loaf of bread.  I like my peace and my privacy!

  2. How often would you travel? As much as possible.  I think travel broadens the mind like no other experience.  I've been very lucky to have done a lot of travelling in my life, but I still have a wish list as long as my arm!  There are over 200 nationss in the world and I've only been to 23 of them!

  3. How many people would live with you? I like the arrangement I have now, just us two.  We both have mutual interests and we both have our own interests so we get a nice balance of tegetherness and solitary 'me' time.  I have absolutely no interest in living with a child.  Children, especially very young ones, just grate on me, and irritate me, so I like to enjoy them from afar.  I've known since I was a child myself that I never wanted children of my own.  I think I would find living with a child really challenging!

  4. How often would you eat out at restaurants? Every day if I could.  I'm very lucky that Mr D is a great cook and he enjoys cooking.  If I were left to my own devices my diet would consist of any dish that can be built around toast or ready meals!

  5. What new hobby would you get into? Hmmm... I have plenty of Hobbies to keep me going at the moment; art, fanfic writing, fandom fun, enjoying my bunnies...  I guess, I've always said that 'I don't have an atom of musical talent in my body', and as it stands at the moment, that's true.  It would be nice to learn to sing or play a musical instrument.  I've never had the time or the inclination, but it's another form of art and one that I've never explored.  I like musical instruments that make a nice mellow sound, so I'd probably choose a woodwind instrument or maybe a saxophone!

Oh boy, do I ever agree with number 4. See Icon. I would live on cheeseburgers, pizza and French fries if I could. I'd probably kill myself on that diet though. LOL

That's the trouble — all the nice stuff is unhealthy and all the healthy stuff tastes like old socks!

I am with you about the travel. There is SO MUCH to see that is beautiful in this world. I scroll through my SM feeds and see gorgeous pictures of all the different countries and marvel at how cool it would be to be able to actually go there. Alas, finances are not what would support such a hobby, so I'll just do my best to explore the regions of my world that I can reasonably travel to and just dream about the rest.

I've done the eating at restaurants things — fast food, etc. a lot. And while it is nice not to have to cook, the food is such that it is easy to gain weight from and not even realize it. After cooking my own meals for awhile, I did the restaurant food for a week awhile back and I gotta say, while it was nice not to have to cook, I missed the home cooking. Plus I felt sluggish and fatigue started creeping back. So, while it would be nice to eat at restaurants all the time, I have to go with cooking my own meals with the occasional restaurant food. Alot healthier that way, not only for my waistline, but overall health and wellness. Now, if one of the options would be to have your own chef to cook your meals — I'd for for that in a second.

That's one of the wonderful things about living in the UK. You can literally be in any one of thirty different countries within a morning's travel.

It would be cool to eat in restaurants all the time but, you're right, it would be hard on the waistline because I'd never choose the healthy options!

That is a GREAT thing about Europe. You can probably go through 3 countries in the time it would take me to just go to the next state, depending where I am in that state and what border I'm going for. When I visited Holland way back when, we stayed in Holland for a couple days, toured the whole country from south to north in just a couple days. Then we went to Belgium and did the same thing there. It was easy going through the whole country. Couldn't do that here. And an overnight train trip and I was in Austria. Couple hour drive and I'm in Switzerland. So easy to tour around and be so many different places. Not here, unfortunately. BUT, I can be in Vancouver , Canada in 6 hours. That's nice.

And YES, I would rarely, if ever, choose the healthy options at a restaurant. I'll go for the cheese sauces, the bread, the pasta — yep, I'd gain unnecessary weight in no time eating that type of food all the time. And feel gross and lethargic for doing so, too.

I love this.
I totally agree with #4... if I could oh yes...
and #2 — 200 nations, I've been to 8 ... favourite one? England. And Croatia.

I'm delighted that you liked England. I hope you were made to feel very welcome. I really enjoyed Germany when I went to Dusseldorf. I hope to go again and see more when travel is more available!
