The Dizzo Dean and Jensen Advent Event: Day 13

So, it's day 13 of our advent calendar and although 13 may be unlucky for some, that doesn't apply here!

For today's entry, I'm going to relive Jensen's stint as Bacchus at Mardi Gras 2019... enjoy!

I don't think I'd seen that video clip before.

Timing is everything--there wasn't a 2020 Mardi Gras. Perhaps there was a realization by the powers that be that no one could every top Jensen so they shut the world done?

There was a King Bacchus this year, though. I think that parade happened before all the COVID stuff went crazy. The kind for this year was Robin Thicke. He doesn't hold a candle to Jensen, though. It's funny to go through the list of who all the kings have been. Danny Kaye was the very first King Bacchus way back in 1969. It's a stellar list that Jensen is a part of.

Ah, I remember that because Jensen went back and did it again as part of the entourage or something didin't he?

I didn't know anything about Bacchus and the Mardi Gras parade, it was only when Jensen got involved that I found out about it. I looked back through the list of Bacchuses (Bacchi?) that went before him, and he was definitely in lofty company!

But even then, no-one could top him :)

By far, in going through the list of all the kings, Jensen has been the best looking out of all the ones on the list. But then, of course he would be, because, well, it's Jensen, and we all know Jensen is just perfection. Nobody can be better than perfection.

It certainly does, everyone seemed to speak very highly of him :)
