This elegant lady is my Great-aunt Katherine (Aunt Kit as I knew her)

She was in her nineties when she passed away in 1986.  Given that she is a very young woman here, I would estimate this photo was taken around 1910 - 1915.

They always dressed so elegantly back in the day, what with all the accessories and hats. Glad I didn't live during that time period, or that we don't dress that way anymore, but I still find it lovely how they all dressed.

She certainly does; she was very petite, so it must have been a challenge to wear such a giant thing!

(I only knew her as a very old lady, and she was about 4' 10")
