Happy Post: Our Boy for 'The Boys'

Well, I'm sure that unless you've been on the Moon today, you would have heard the news that our lovely boy, Jensen will be reuniting with the one and only Mister Kripke in season 3 of 'The Boys'.

I know this has been talked about on several of my friends' feeds today, but I want to have this momentous news recorded on my journal too.

So it looks like I'm going to be watching 'The Boys' and familiarising myself with it ahead of season 3.  I haven't seen it at all - to be honest, I'd never even heard of it - but I'm hearing mixed reviews, so it'll be good to go and check it out for myself.

I'm really excited because the character of Soldier Boy sounds ... interesting, and I hope Jensen will be able to bring his genius for comedy into the show.  That appears to be what Eric Kripke is expecting.  And of course, on a purely shallow note (because we're experts in 'shallow' here at Dizzojay's journal), I'm desperate to know what he'll be wearing. *cough*spandex*cough*

I'm happy, but not at all surprised that Jensen has ended up playing a superhero... next step, Marvel universe???

So, it's awesome that both of our gorgeous boys have work to step into once Supernatural wraps, *sobs* and I will of course always avidly follow their careers, regardless of what they go on to do. I wish them every success in their new adventures, and will be there every step of the way with them!

Now we've just got to find out what Misha's got planned.  With him, who knows, NOTHING would surprise me!!!

I like that show, it's completely bonkers. The question is how they decide to do Soldier Boy, like in the comics as extremely stupid and a coward or perhaps more the sinister route...

I've just started to watch it, I've seen the first three episodes, and I think I'm going to like it.

I'm really excited to see how Jensen plays this part!

I have no idea what Misha has planned. I don't even know if he's in the last two eps... there's no mention of him being in quarantine.

Quarantine ended yesterday so I hope that's Jared throwing the comic. :)

Yes, it's interesting that Misha's not there at the moment. I wonder if he's finished filming? Of course that would mean he's not in the final two episodes which I find hard to imagine!

I admit I haven't seen "The Boys" yet, but if Jen is in Season 3, I think it's about time to go and see the first two seasons (the trailers, tbh, look WILD!!!)

Me neither, Jane, especially since our boy apparently was in talks to either play Captain America or Hawkeye back then.


PS: a little spoiler from the comics (that I saw on another site) - in one issue, Soldier Boy and Homelander do the horizontal tango ;) (Me here wonders if they go that far in the series...)

The more and more I hear about this part, I'm salivating about it - I can't wait to see how it works out!!!

I've started watching The Boys, watched the first three episodes, and I think I'm going to like it :D

It is an interesting next move for Jensen. I'll be interested in seeing his character and what he does with it. As I haven't read the comics I have no idea about the character, so will have to go do some investigating. The show in and of itself is........interesting. It took me awhile to get into it and there was a time or two I almost quit watching it altogether. I did; however, stick with it and am looking forward to the release of S2. Now I am all excited about Jensen's role as someone else said, this is a wild and crazy show so it will be fun to see him inserted in with these other characters and see what he does opposite the actors. I'm very excited to see Jensen in something else and in a role completely different from Supernatural, so totally looking forward to this.

PS. As others said, quarantine ended Sunday, so I would bet that was Jared who threw the magazine. That would be their first time together since March, so I bet it was a lovely reunion for the two friends.
