So, like many others, my life this week has barely ventured beyond the confines of my house - I'm living and working there at the moment as we're completing our first week in lockdown.  I've walked up to the local supermarket twice and the most interesting part of the week was yesterday at 8pm when the UK collectively stood outside their houses (respecting social distancing of course), and clapped to support and show appreciation for the workers of our amazing National Health Service who in the midst of this crisis are putting their lives at risk to help others.  The day will never dawn that I will not be thankful for the miracle that is our NHS.

I was proud of my little village.  As well as applause, we had fireworks and someone further up the road was playing a trumpet!  He was too far away for me to recognise the tune, but you can't fault the gesture!!

So this is just a quick update to say Mr D and I are fine, and if I have't been around much this week, it's basically because I've got nothing to say!!!

I hope you're all keeping safe and well and looking after you and yours.

I loves you loads!!

And here's some complimentary Jensen because, well, why not??
(Anyone else jealous of that microphone?)

I'm glad you're doing fine!

People here, who run food places, having been making the news by generously making food for our health care workers. :D

It's reassuring isn't it. Although it seems to only be the scumbags that make the news, there are lots of great people doing great things all over the world. That's a good thought to cling to!

I hope the courts are finally closed and Bazza's at home with you! This lockdown is weird but given that it's set to go on for some time yet, I suppose we just have to get used to the new normal. Paul is being a bit paranoid and won't let me go to the shops to restock until Monday, which I feel is a little excessive but *shrugs*. We have been going for a short walk in the park most days to get some fresh air and a little exercise and I'm happy to report it's been pretty empty, even in the lovely sunshine.

So, one week down, x weeks to go!

No, unfortunately Bazza's still going in. The court is only accepting the most urgent (mostly remand cases), but Bazza is literally last man standing as at Basngstoke far as ushers are concerned - out of a team of five, the's the only one not self isolating because of his age, his physical condition or because he's got kids at home!

Bless him, Paul is being a gentleman, he has your best interests at heart! I bet he's relieved that he can still go out for his run!

I've been walking up to the village every day to get a couple of bits of shopping, that's a round trip of just under a mile. I might go for a bit of a longer walk today or tomorrow!

Jensen does brighten the day, doesn't he? I love that you had such a great response to the 'clapping for NHS' in your area, it was a bit quiet here but I think it's because we're right on the corner - I think the ducks in the park were flapping their wings!

I'm sure the ducks were giving it a good old flap! :D

I think Lightwater had such a good response because we've got Frimley Park Hospital, which is one of the major hospitals in the country just about 4 miles up the road. There are a lot of Frimley Park employees in and around Lightwater, and almost everyone there has used its services at one time or another!
