I think Angel cake, or as its termed over here, Angel Food Cake, is a popular food item for almost everyone. Don't think I've ever heard of an Anorak or Asti. Asti is probably some alcoholic beverage, which is why I've never heard of it, but Anorak? Clueless.

You're right, I think Angel cake is universally loved! Asti is a very cheap, sweet fizzy wine. It was really popular in the 70s/80s/90s, but it's been replaced by Prosecco now. I don't know what you'd call it in the States, but an Anorak is a waterproof jacket, similar to this kind of thing:

Ah. Hm, good question. I'd probably just call it a rain jacket. My dad has heavy duty waterproof jacket (which looks similar) and pants set for working outside in extreme weather and I can't think of anything we call it besides rain gear.
