Strange times

Well, 2020 hasn't exactly covered itself in glory so far.

I can't speak for the rest of the world, but during February, large parts of the UK experienced the worst flooding in recorded history.  The TV was full of heartbreaking footage of dazed people standing in waist-deep water staring at the submerged remains of their homes, their cars and everything they've ever owned and ever worked for.

Then of course, Corona Virus is upon us and paralysing the world continent by continent, and finally as if there wasn't enough shit going on,  yesterday, the news started circulating that our adorable Spn boys suffered a terrifying in-flight experience when the plane they were on lost an engine.

It's times like this that we have to value what's around us - the things that make us happy in unhappy times, and I'm grateful that I have a lot to be happy about.

I just want to put on record here, at my journal, that you guys make me happy.  I probably don't say it enough, but I'm so grateful for the gift of friendship that you give me day in day out (even if it is long-distance friendship in many cases), and I love you all.

Cliff tweeted out yesterday that the boys were always safe. That plane has 3 engines and 1 engine out they were still going to be okay. Still, I don't care for those small planes. I hope they all gave Jared crap for his plane malfunction. The news did still hit me hard, I can't even think about what the worst scenario could have been. It was nice to hear though that Jensen was the one that kept everyone calm. If I were ever in a tight situation, he would be the one (or someone like him) that I would want standing behind me. I'm going on a plane for the first time in over 10 years this October, and I gotta say, I'm a little nervous about it.

I don't think anyone should be blaming Jared for his plane malfunction, it's not like he was somehow negligent in any way. Imagine how he'd be feeling if anything had actually happened to his best friends.

I loved hearing how Jensen had been all cool in the crisis and had his mini meltdown once they were back safe!

Don't worry about flying though, planes very rarely go wrong - check the stats, it will make you feel better (hopefully). You are far safer flying than driving a car.

Heaven sakes......I wasn't serious in my comments about Jared. I was very much stating that in a very teasing way. I would never blame anyone for faulty things if they were an owner, they have no control over those things.

As a clarification......I am not blaming Jared for the plane malfunction. My comment that the guys should give jared crap about his plane malfunction is all meant as a "wink wink" teasing state of mind. Please don't take me seriously that I blame Jared.

I think it's the sort of thing that would have elicited a lot of teasing, but I feel so sorry for Jared - he must have been mortified!!

I have been in a couple f small planes, but I much prefer the big ones!

The world does seem to be going crazy right now, I feel so sorry for all those poor folk who've been affected by the flooding, and now we all have the virus to contend with! The guys plane problem must've been pretty scary, and I love that Jensen kept his cool during the crisis then never wanted to fly again once they landed, bless him!
