Hello f/listies!
We’ve all seen the terrible events going on in Australia at the moment, and the devastating effects on the wildlife in those regions.
Lots of people have been helping with the wildlife relief efforts by crocheting birds nests, and sewing bat wraps and joey pouches.
Now, unfortunately, I’ve never picked up a crochet needle in my entire life, and I don’t own a sewing machine, nor would I have a clue how to use one, so the time it would take me to produce any of these things to a decent standard would make any attempt pointless.
But what I can do is draw.
So, I have produced a piece of artwork and I am offering it for sale in aid of Wildlife Victoria’s Bushfire Appeal. (A receipt for the donation will be provided)
https://www.wildlifevictoria.org.au/…

The picture is called ‘Mother’ and she is on sale to the highest bidder. (Please note this is just a cameraphone photo under domestic light, so not the best reproduction. She was only finished this afternoon and I haven’t had a chance to make a professional scan yet. I’ll post an updated picture when I’ve had a chance to so this, hopefully next week).
She is 16” x 12” and drawn in pastel, same as my usual work. I would usually charge £110 (unframed) for a picture of this size, and so I’m asking a minimum price of £50.
If you’re interested, please PM me at my dapplegrey art Facebook page with your offer before Sunday 26th January, and – as I stated previously – I will sell to the highest bid. I promise that every penny paid for the art will go to helping Australian wildlife.
I’ll discuss specific details eg: postage/framing etc with the winning bidder.
If you’ve got any questions, get in touch either by PM or as a comment to this post.
Thank you for reading! Over and out !!😊
