For fanfiction writing, I don't know what I'd do without www.thesaurus.com and its sister site www.dictionary.com.  Dean is guilt-ridden?  Or is he regretful, sad, sorrowful, mournful, rueful, penitient, self-reproachful... Gotta love a thesaurus!

SupernaturalWiki is an invaluable source of all and any Spn miscellany you could ever ask for.  In its pages are nestling such fun facts and gems of information as a comprehensive discussion on chest hair sightings, a list of every time Dean has said 'Son of a Bitch' and a scorecard of which brother sleeps nearer the door more often.  As if this isn't enough, it also has complete transcripts of every single Spn episode, which are invaluable if you need to check a quote, who said it, or its context.

I wish every fandom had a wiki as comprehensive as SPNs. It'd save me so much damn time! Or... I'd spend even MORE time looking stuff up. One of those.

We are very spoiled with our Wiki - and yes, it's very easy to spend way too much time exploring it!

I'm going to second the Supernatural Wiki, so much detail in there, I love the Trivia & References and the Minutiae at the bottom of every episode page.

The Wiki is indeed a great resource.

I have an English thesaurus from the 1960s. It's amazing. But that's for writing in an old-fashioned English style. For other kinds of fic, thesaurus. com is handy.

I have a thesaurus book as well. I bought it for my Grandad about twenty years ago to help him with his Crosswords. When he passed away about ten years ago, I took it back and kept as it always reminds me of him - he even made some notes in it.
