I'm reccing three fics that I love.  They're permanent fixtures on my kindle, and I find myself going back to them over and over!

The Cost of Falling by JinxedAmbitions
This was written for one of the many Supernatural Big Bangs and is a fabulous Destiel story based at a 30's/40's travelling circus.  It's beautifully written by someone who either knows about ariel circus acts or has researched them very thoroughly, and it's my favourite sort of slow burn hate to love story.
It's also accompanied by some truly beautiful artwork by Rhapsodean


Sweet Tooth by DarcyDelaney
Another gorgeous Destiel fic, in the bakery trope, this time from the Reversebang challenge.  Set around the Bumblebee Bakery, run by socially awkward Castiel and visited by Dean.  Unlike the fic above, the attraction is instant, and very charming!
Gorgeous artwork by Diminuel is just the icing on the cake (bakery pun!)

This is a J2 Big_Bang story where shy, socially awkward smalltown librarian Jensen goes on holiday to a beautiful tropical paradise island, and finds far more than just sea and sunshine!

i'm amused as hell by the cost of falling (just the summary, not the fic itself) because i wrote a j2 circus au for the spn/j2 bigbang a few years ago, in which jensen's an aerialist and jared's a roustabout (the guys who put up the big top and the other tents), and misha's also an aerialist who joins the circus halfway through the fic, having come from... russia. :D (he tells incomprehensible hedgehog jokes that don't translate well.) i know "circus au" isn't a totally original idea, but i'm weirdly tickled that someone else wrote something so close and yet so... not. fandom kills me, and i mean that in a good way.

royally complicated sounds like something i'd enjoy. (and not something i've written. :D ) i mean, librarian!jensen, how can you not like that?

I think 'circus' is quite a popular trope, and you often see fics with some similarities. There are definitely no hedgehog jokes in the one I've recced!!

Librarian Jensen is adorable in 'Royally Complicated'!
