December 16 → something that made you sad this year

There was one thing that made me extremely sad this year.

I haven't lost any dear friends or family members, so obviously that's a huge positive and something to celebrate; however, something that is a massive part of my life and that that has brought me joy in ways I would never have imagined ten years ago, is ending.

Its hugely positive effects will remain, in terms of friends, fandom, creativity and - for now at least - conventions, but our show and our gorgeous J2M are the glue that binds all those different elements together, and things will never be quite the same.

I have never been able to watch that video of our boys tearfully announcing the end of the show since the first and only time I watched it back in March, and I don't know if I ever will. It's just too painful to watch their obvious sadness.

I think the late, great AA Milne summed up my feelings about the end of Supernatural, and puts it into better words than I ever could...

'How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard.'
