December Meme - Day 3

I've been terribly remiss movie-wise this year.  I haven't been to the cinema once this year.  I've seen two new releases; one on DVD and one on Sky.

I saw Rocket Man, because I like Elton John's music, and it was a decent film with a great soundtrack, but I think Bohemian Rhapsody raised the bar too high on Music biopics for me, and I wasn't blown away by it.

I also saw Stan and Ollie, because Steve Coogan never disappoints, and he continued to impress as a brilliant Stan Laurel.  It was a cute and charming little film, with a nice balance of humour and angst to make it interesting.

Two new releases I really want to see are Mary Queen of Scots and Tolkein, so hopefully I'll get my arse in gear and see them soon!

Oh god, don't bother with Mary Queen of Scots - well at least if you know any history anyway. It's utter tosh and should have just called itself a fantasy instead of pretending it had any historical credence. LOL

Oh! And I'm a bit of a nerd for Tudor History, so I'll probably be pulling it apart after five minutes!

Yep, I liked Rocket Man but I loved Bohemian Rhapsody! It was great to have two music biopics this year and that they were different styles, but both had amazing performances. I've got Tolkein saved for when Sam gets home, it should be good. I've got Stan & Ollie saved, too, so I'll have to make sure to watch it, thanks for the rec! :)

I didn't see Rocket man but I loooove BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY to bits and pieces. One of the best movies I've seen this year(though I didn't watch much TV, I can't remember when I was in Cinema the last time :-)
