We don't celebrate Thanksgiving here in the UK, but in the spirit of Thanksgiving, I thought it only right and fair to post about something that I'm very thankful for...

I've watched many TV shows that I've really enjoyed, but none have affected me in the way that Supernatural has. In short, it's the only programme I care about enough to bare my soul by producing fanworks for, but I'm thankful for our show for a number of reasons:

I'm thankful for Supernatural because it inspired me to rediscover a love of creative writing; a hobby that I had long since forgotten about due to lack of inspiration and lack of a readership. It also inspired me to step outside my comfort zone and start drawing people again and inspired me to learn how to make digital art, something I had always imagined to be beyond me and my limited technical knowledge.

And mostly I'm thankful to Supernatural because of the amazing people from all over the world I've met through it both online and in real life Attending conventions is one of the great joys of my life; something I wouldn't even have considered if I hadn't got inolved in the Supernatural fandom. As well as the UK, I now know people from France, Germany, Denmark, Belgium, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Italy, Iceland, America, Australia, New Zealand, and Canada to name a few, and I'm proud to call them my friends.

I wouldn't have known a single one of these people without our little show, and that alone is something that I'm more thankful for than I can ever put into words.
