I watched the episode his morning and really enjoyed it. However, moving away from the big story arc for a moment, can we just take a moment to appreciate the little scene with Dean vs the evil pepper jerky?
It was a masterclass in pure comic genius. So understated and nuanced, there was no slapstick falling about and flailing.
We had
Stage 1: Toughing it out, and making sure that baby brother was completely unaware of any signs of discomfort...
Stage 2: dignified indifference...
Stage 3: not quite so dignified gagging.
Stage 4: It's not eye-wiping okay? He's just resting his hand against his face...
Stage 5: Complete and utter defeat.
