dizzojayA little double drabble I wrote for the drabble challenge over on Fanfiction.net this weekend. The challenge word was 'crack'.
Dean has very high standards when it comes to Baby…

“Dean, you can’t wash the car – you’ve broken your wrist.”
“Cracked, Sam, I’ve just cracked it. That hot nurse in ER said so.”
“Well, whatever, broken or cracked, you can’t go washing the car.”
“But she needs it – she’s covered in road dust.”
“Can’t we just take her to the car wash downtown?”
*glares*
“Alright, well, shall I do it?”
“You?”
“Yes Dean. I am capable of washing a car, you know.”
“Well, okay. But make sure you use the soft chamois on her.”
“Yes.”
“And use a different one for each panel so you don’t transfer the grime.”
“Okay …”
“And use the wax cleaner in a green bottle – she doesn’t like the one in the black bottle.”
“… ooookay.”
“And when you buff her afterwards, use a cotton cloth, so you don’t leave lint on her.”
*nods*
“And use the vinegar-based glass cleaner in the blue bottle on her windows.”
*stares*
“Remember to lift her wipers before you clean her windshield, and only use the soft bristle brush on her alloys so they don’t get scratched.”

“Anything else?”
“Well, that’s her outside; now when you do her interior …”
“You know what Dean? You’re right. It’s only a cracked wrist – how much harm can washing the car do?”
