So, I'm bumming around, looking for some inspiration for this week's drabbles, and in the meantime, I'm going to do this little meme-y thing I've pilfered from

My name is Jane, my Nickname is Dizzo or Diz (the girls in work call me 'Janey D')

How old are you?

Old enough to know better, young enough not to care!
(No, seriously - I'm 51)

When is your birthdate?

1st April

What is your zodiac sign?

Aries

What is your favourite colour?

Turquoise / teal / aquamarine / mint green - any of that family of blue/green colours

Do you have any pets?

Not at the moment (unless you count the fish in our pond!!) Mr D and I would love to surround ourselves with animals, but we both work long hours and are both out of the house for many hours most days, so we simply don't live the lifestyles to give an animal the love and attention they deserve.

Where are you from?

I was born in London, and have lived in the UK all my life. I live in the south east of England about 30 miles west of London

How tall are you?

Five foot seven.

What is your favourite sport?

My favourite sport to watch is Cricket, where I support England - of course - and my local team, Surrey.

What is your favourite song?

It's hard to answer this because my favourite song will change depending on my circumstances and my mood. Most songs by Queen will always be right up there, and 'We are the Champions' will always be special - it's so anthemic and rousing - it always moves me, whenever I hear it!

What is your favourite movie?

Again, too many to choose from, but would include, The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, The original Star Wars Trilogy, The Harry Potter series, The Green Mile, The Dish, The Shawshank Redemption, and most Frost and Pegg movies.

Have you ever gone to Hospital?

Yes, broken elbow surgically repaired in 2007 and broken shoulder in 2018

Have you ever met any celebrities?

Yes, most of the Supernatural cast at various conventions, plus Sir David Attenborough when I was ten. (I also briefly met Sir John Hurt at a work function when I worked for Apple many years ago!)

What is your relationship status?

Happily married for 24 and a half years to the long-suffering Mr D

What is your orientation?

I'm straight, but totally cool with anyone elses preference - straight but not narrow as the saying goes!
There's too much hate in this world, love - in whatever form it takes - has got to be a good thing, right?

How are you getting along with your family?

I'm very close to my parents, and get along perfectly adequately with the rest of my family. We don't live in each others' pockets, and that suits me fine.

Are you more likely to avoid conflict or engage it head on?

I think I'm like most people in that I will avoid conflict if I can; life is too short to be arguing and butting heads all the time. That said, I won't be taken for a fool; I pick my battles and if I think something is worth fighting about, I will.
