Happy Post: Mr Dizzo

dizzojayWe went to see my parents yesterday, and when we arrived, it seemed that Mum was in the middle of a review of all their old photo albums.
We spent a nice couple of hours looking through lots of old photos, dating back from a time when my parents were infants, to around about ten or so years ago.
One of the photos we found was one I'd forgotten all about. It was one taken on a day when all four of us had taken a nice family day out at the Needles Batteries at Alum Bay on the Isle of Wight a good few years ago, and this picture encapsulates purely and simply everything you need to know about Mr Dizzo and why I married him ...

Date: 2019-04-07 02:49 pm (UTC)I wanted to use a photo very much like this one on the cover of our Management of Risk publication a few years ago, but they wouldn't let me. Instead they went with a photo of a space shuttle launch. The moral of the story is - they should have listened to me, because a few months after publication there was a space shuttle accident and they had to pull the book off the shelves and change the cover.
