Among all the gorgeous gifties that I received for Christmas was a fabulous Watership Down colouring book from jj1564, so last night ... I couldn't resist a little colouring session!
How pretty!! I work with kids and have rediscovered the fun of coloring! (Drawing too, since I will draw whatever they want & we run it off for everyone to color.):D
It really is, although I always feel like I'm goofing off whenever I do it, so I don't do it that much. XD It is fun to make stuff for everyone to color. :D
Yes, I did watch it Christmas Eve. I went into it with an open mind and I have to say, I really enjoyed it.
I was a bit concerned that they would 'sanitise' it, because I've read about people moaning that the original film was too violent and it 'traumatised' their little angels :P (Personally, I think if they think that one of the all-time classics of British Literature is a story about fluffy bunny rabbits being fluffy, and they don't know that it's a dark and dystopian story that ultimatly ends with a hard-fought victory for liberty over tyranny, then they should be ashamed of themselves.)
Because it's a mini-series, and four hours long, they had time to go into a lot more detail than they did in the film, and therefore they stayed quite faithful to the book, which was great.
