A Blast from the Past ...

In work today, it was decided that at the Christmas lunch, they're going to run a 'baby guess who', so we were all asked to submit pictures of ourselves at five years old or under for this.

While I was trawling through my pictures looking for the handful of childhood pics I own, I came across this one (I can't remember if I've ever shared it here).  I couldn't submit it for my work competition, because I'm about sixteen in this picture, but it made me laugh nonetheless...

I remember the day well - I was on my way to my first gymkhana :D
(and I seem to remember at the event I achieved nothing more prestigious than not falling off!!!)

I can't really remember, but I think he found it highly amusing!

The thing with this picture that struck me when I rediscovered it this week, was that according to the developing stamp on the back of the picture, it was taken in 1984 which would have made me sixteen. That was the same year that I left school and went out to work!

I look so bloody young here, it feels like child labour!!!

Yes, sixteen seems far too young to be starting work and you look far too young to be going out into the big wide world here!
