What is your Name / Nickname
My real name is Jane. My nickname Dizzo is a long-standing nickname based on my surname
How old are you?
I'm celebrating a milestone this year, and hit my half-century back in the spring. I have every intention of growing old disgracefully, so be warned!
When is your birthday?
1st of April - yes, I am the definitive April Fool.
What is your Zodiac Sign

What is your favourite colour?
Turquoise/teal/aquamarine/mint green ... any of that family of blue/green colours
Do you have any pets?
Apart from a few cute fish in our pond, no. Hubby and I both work long hours and are out of the house all day. We simply don't have a lifestyle that would be beneficial for pets. I dream of having dogs and/or cats one day, but it's got to be a time when I could give them the life they deserve.
Where are you from?
I'm a Brit. I was born in central London, and lived there until I was about 10. I now live in a village clled Lightwter around 30 miles west of London.
How tall are you?
I'm five feet seven inches.
What is my favourite song?
Difficult to say as that tends to change depending upon circumstances and/or my mood. I can never go wrong with Queen, though. They have a song for every occasion ... songs to make you smile, songs to make you rock out and songs to make you cry. To my mind Bohemian Rhapsody was one of the bravest and most original songs ever recorded.
What is your favourite movie?
Again, difficult to choose. I tend towards anything that's a bit fantastical, magical or supernatural - and I love sci-fi. My favourites include the Star Wars series, The Harry Potter series, the Lord of the Rings trilogy, the Dish, The Shawshank Redemption, the Green Mile, the Hobbit trilogy, the Mothman Prophecies, and the Star Trek TNG and modern Star Trek series of movies.
Have you ever gone into Hospital?
Yes I broke my elbow in 2007 and had it surgically repaired which required me staying in hospital for five days. Then, because I am the clumsiest, most ham-fisted idiot on the face of the planet, I broke my shoulder in June this year, but thankfully that didn't require surgery, so I only spent an afternoon/evening in the accident and emergency department before being discharged!
Have you ever met any celebrities?
I've met a lot of the Supernatural actors at various conventions, and pretty much without exception have found them all to be delightful and charming. I've also met John Cleese, David Attenborough (when I was about ten), John Barrowman, a couple of England Cricketers, Brian Blessed, Bryan Adams and John Hurt.
What is your relationship status?
I have been married for 24 years to my lovely husband and long-suffering Supernatural widow, Barry, who is known at this journal as Mr D. Our marriage is a wonderful mix of shared interests and individual independence which works just perfectly for both of us. Even afer 27 years together, we can still make each other laugh, and I feel very privileged to have that gift in my life.
What is your orientation?
I'm straight but, as the saying goes, not narrow. I wouldn't think judge two consenting adults who love each other, regardless of their gender. Why would I? Love can only be a good thing, regardless of what it looks like.
How do you get along with your family?
I am very close to my parents, but beyond that, I'm not especially close to my extended family. I would rather spend time with my friends (my non-blood family). Bobby had it so right when he said 'family don't end with blood'.
Are you more likely to avoid conflict or engage it head on?
I don't seek out conflict, in fact I actively avoid it, but I will stand up for myself, or for someone, if the need arises. I pick my battles, and will only engage in conflict if I feel the situation really demands it.
