Funny where your mind goes when you're bored out of your skull at the gym ...

What I want to know is that if my bottle of mineral water has been filtered through limestone mountains for fifty million years; then why does it have an expiration date of next September?

Presumably because once out of its natural rock filteration system, exposure means decay. Or maybe it has something to do with squeezing every last penny out of people daft enough to pay for bottled water when they can get it from a tap.

Ah, I knew there had to be a perfectly logical reason!

Glad we could sort that one out then. *wink*

Supposedly they caught the perrier folks bottling their water straight from the tap. But then again, I drink massive amounts of bottled water. I live right next to an orchard where they spray lots of insecticides and I imagine it seeps into my well (did have it tested for cyanide and it was negative) and I swear it tastes better, even though that is probably all just clever marketing and all in my head.

I always wonder the same thing when I see Himalayan salt in the supermarket.
I think there are laws that say that everything that is specifically sold for human consumption has to have an expiration date

Well given that the world is ending next week, I guess it doesn't really matter :)
