Because I don't actually appear to have one myself!

A question:

I often read/hear people talking about reading fanfiction on their Kindle. 

Can some kind person who is far cleverer than me explain to me how I can download fanfiction onto my Kindle because I can't figure out how to do it!

Aha! Easy peasy. You save stuff as PDFs, then you email it as attachments to your kindle email account with just the word 'convert' in the subject line.
When you connect your kindle to wifi, it will automatically download them.

That's the easiest way to make sure the formatting comes out ok - though you can also do it by just plugging your kindle into your laptop and dragging the files over via your file manager. That does work but occasionally I found that some fics stopped at page 33, or the formatting went a bit weird. The email conversion seems to work ok most times.

You can also just email word docs, again using 'convert' as the subject line and attaching the docs to an email to your kindle account.

I only have 220 fan fics on my kindle...so far...

Yay, it worked! I have the princely amount of five fics on my kindle now ... won't be long before I overtake you, I'm sure!

Or if the fic is on AO3 you can download it as a MOBI-file, you don't even need to convert it then
