Today marks a significant milestone in the life of a certain person. Our Jensen celebrates his fortieth birthday today, and everywhere Supernatural fans are saying 'Holy crap on toast, how the hell is that man forty?'

Many people say 'life begins at forty', but it's fair to say that Jensen began his current life as a ridiculously talented actor, 50% of J2, convention rock god and ovary-murderer many years before that.

Therefore, to celebrate this auspicious occasion, I'm delighted to present a fantastic fortieth birthday picspam for our fabulous fan favourite, Jensen.

Back in the third season of the show, I ventured to Vancwith two fellow fans to tour the places where the show had filmed scenes and hopefully meet Jensen and Jared. We ended up doing both. And I had the extreme and wondrous pleasure of coming face to face with Jensen Ackles, mere inches from his beautiful face. I thought to myself, “It really IS like looking into the sun,” but refrained from saying it, because I figured he had heard it a million times before. He had slightly injured himself doing a stunt, burning his leg as he jumped over an “exploding” car. I told him I had first responder training back home in New York and offered my assistance (just holding back telling him to remove his pants so I could assess his injury, LOL), but he assured me he was fine and posed for photos, accepted my gift basket and talked with me for several heady moments. He and Jared, who I met first, and separately, were consummate southern gentleman and so very kind to my star struck friends and me. It’s a trip and experience I will treasure forever, far nicer than the canned, too-expensive Con experiences. Love, Robin

My trip to Vancouver turned out better than I could have dreamed! I lucked out in getting together with the guy who finds locations for SPN filming; he took me and my two friends on an incredible tour of places where the show had filmed many of it’s most memorable episodes to date (including the crossroads eps), and I picked and ate blackberries to stave off a low blood sugar reaction while I was there. The location guy made sure we knew where Jensen and Jared would be filming that Friday evening, and not only did we get to watch the filming, we met and spoke with Kim Manners, too! We really did luck out. Love, Robin
