I'm back!

So here I am back in the fold after the nightmare work week from hell (see my previous post), then a lovely evening yesterday at the first of two work Christmas parties. It's events like this that make the odd crappy week all worthwhile!

We headed off to the Celtic Manor Hotel in Newport, just over the Tamar Bridge into Wales and a lovely evening of fun, laughter, dancing and alcohol was had by all. This morning, when I eventually managed to shuffle my way back into the human race after four and a half hours sleep (Bed time was two thirty this morning), it was interesting to note that my head ached and my feet ached, but everything in between was fine and dandy!

Yes, we did have a great time. we are a close knit team. I tthought I'd never match what I had with the girls at my last job (who I still keep in touch with), but I really hit the jackpot for the second time here.

Ah the Celtic Manor! I've been to that hotel for lunch with my ex in-laws, and Sam stayed there when his uncle got married there a few years ago, it's well known in Wales. I hope you enjoyed it despite the bad timing with the payroll, and it was a result that only your feet and head ached! Lovely pics :)

It was the first time I'd ever been there, and I loved it. I just wish I'd been able to spare more time to enjoy the facilities, like the spa and swimming pool.

I turned up at the hotel with about 45 minutes to shower and change and get ready for the party!!

Ah, the Celtic Manor's not far from me -- we took my Mum there for afternoon tea a couple of birthdays ago. :) Looks like you had a fab time!
