Definitely! Surely friendships built on mutual interests is a good thing? For most of us, friendships and relationships are positive for our mental health and discussing a shared interest has to be positive.

Besides, almost everyone I spend significant amounts of time with I met through fandom (including two of the three people I live with! The third I met on a TV set) so I need to believe this is for the best. :D

Absolutely, everything about it screams positivity doesn't it: Being among like minded people, the social aspect, being engaged with something, being inspired by others, testing your creativity ...

I wonder if I showed this to mum if she'd finally shut up about my Fandom activities? Naw she'd just demand I'd decamp from Supernatural and join a nice fandom like Coronation Street!

I told my husband about this and he agreed. More than once he told me after a hard day 'meet your fandom friends, they make you happy. Glad you have them ' ♥♥♥ and I couldn't agree more. I am very glad to be part of the family ♡♡♡
